Q: When will the USAPL Men's Open/Teen/Junior National Powerlifting Championships be held?
A: The 2010 USAPL Men's Open/Teen/Junior National Powerlifting Championships will be held June 18 - June 20, 2010 at the Palm Springs Convention Center in Palm Springs, California.
Q: Who can compete in the USAPL Men's Open/Teen/Junior National Powerlifting Championships?
A: Open, Teen age (14-19) and Junior age (20-23) men who are current USAPL members in good standing and have achieved a qualifying total in a USAPL sanctioned meet from January 1, 2009 to May 15, 2010. Click here to see USAPL Qualifying Totals for Open, Teen and Junior divisions.
Q: What is the price to attend the USAPL Men's Open/Teen/Junior National Powerlifting Championships?
A: $5.00 for all lifting sessions each day. Participating athletes are FREE and each athlete will receive one Coach's credential for the day they compete.
Q: Will there be parking available on-site?
A: Yes, ample event parking is available in the parking lot across the street from the convention center on Amado Road between Alvarado Road and N. Avenida Cabelleros.
Q: Is there food available for purchase at the venue?
A: Yes. Concessions stands will be open in the Palm Springs Convention Center during lifting sessions throughout the weekend.
Q: Where can I stay while in Palm Springs?
A: The official host hotel is the Hilton Palm Springs. 400 East Tahquitz Canyon Way, Palm Springs, CA 92262; 760-320-6868, 800-522-6900. When making reservations, refer to group code "USP" for special championship rate and access to reserved room block. Or book online at the 2010 USAPL Men's National Powerlifting Championships Reservations site.
Q: Will a weigh scale be available at the host hotel?
A: Yes, a calibrated weigh scale will be located in the Caliente Room. Please note that the scale is for weight check purposes only and the official competition scale will located at the competition venue.
Q: When and where will the National Governing Body Meeting take place?
A: The 2010 National Governing Body Meeting is tentatively scheduled to take place on Thursday, June 17 at 6:00 p.m. in the Plaza C/D Ballroom at the Hilton Palm Springs. All official notices regading date, time and location of the NGB Meeting will be posted by the USAPL Secretary at www.usapowerlifting.com.
